Thank you so much for joining us for the Walk to Defeat ALS Seaside! It was absolutely wonderful to be back at the Seaside Heights Boardwalk celebrating together, again.

After three years of virtual celebrations, I enjoyed catching up with all the returning teams. It was great to see how teams have grown throughout the years.

This year's Walk to Defeat ALS also brought many new teams, who I had the pleasure to meet. I am so grateful for all the new teams and participants I met on Saturday. Thank you for taking the time to say "hello" and share your story with us. We are all part of this community, and we cannot say Thank You enough!
 
 
Fundraising continues all year! So even though Walk Day is over, your friends and family can still donate to support the Walk to Defeat ALS.

The Countdown is ON!

The Walk to Defeat ALS Seaside is THIS Saturday, May 6! We can't wait to see you on Saturday morning at the Seaside Heights Boardwalk. Check-in will begin promptly at 9:00 AM and the Walk will start after a brief Opening Ceremony at 10:00 AM. Below are a few reminders to get you prepared for the Walk to Defeat ALS!

  • Parking is available at 52 Hiering Avenue, Seaside Heights, NJ. The cost to park is $5.00 per car. 50% of the proceeds from parking will be donated back to the Walk from the lot owner.
  • The Walk will begin at Hiering Avenue & The Boardwalk.
  • If you have additional cash or check donations, please give them to your Team Captain to place in donation envelopes available at registration. 
  • For those bringing their friends and family to the walk that did not register online, please have them visit the registration table to officially sign up!
  • If you raised $90 by April 19, visit the t-shirt table to collect your Walk shirt.
If you plan on attending the Walk to Defeat ALS at the Seaside Heights Boardwalk, you will be required to complete a COVID-19 waiver. The waiver outlines all the safety measures taken throughout our event. To try and avoid gatherings at our waiver table, please review and print the waiver linked below. Bring the signed copy of your waiver to the walk, and we will collect it at the Waiver Table.

Message from your Coordinator

Hello everyone! 

We are so thrilled you are joining us for the Walk to Defeat ALS at the Seaside Heights Boardwalk on Saturday, May 6, 2023! The Walk to Defeat ALS is a one-day celebration to honor those with ALS and remember those we have lost to the disease.

Throughout the day, teams can collect their Unlock ALS keys and fill out the paper key to hang on the tribute tent. Hear your team name announced and take photos with your friends and family. Speak with other members of the Walk to learn about their journey and grow our community of hope.

By participating in the Seaside Walk to Defeat ALS, you can make a difference in the lives of people with ALS and help fund groundbreaking research for a cure.

T-Shirts

Only participants who raise $90 by April 19, 2023, will get a t-shirt. This benefit is awarded to individuals, not teams or donors, so make sure the donations to your personal fundraising record add up!

In addition to working toward one for yourself, you should spread the word to encourage your friends, family, and coworkers to earn their very own shirt.
